Excon 2017 Opens, President Xiang Wenbo Test-drives Local Roller

On December 12, the five-day 9th International Construction Equipment and Construction Technology Trade Fair (Excon 2017) opened in Bangalore. Sany appeared with a strong lineup comprising excavators, rotary drilling rigs, crawler cranes, truck cranes, graders and concrete mixers, with a total exhibition area of more than 4,218 square meters.

At the opening ceremony, Sany showed its grand, concise and internationalized brand image, and attracted wide attention by a unique machine dance show. In the opening day, on behalf of Sany, Xiang signed a USD 10 million agreement with an Indian customer on supplying equipment including truck cranes, rough-terrain cranes and crawler cranes.

At the fair, two gold-coated PTO 7m³ and 8m³ truck mixers newly launched by Sany India were well acclaimed and intention orders involving 20 units were placed. Truck mixers manufactured by Sany India fully inherit the traditional advantages of Sany mixing equipment including large volume, no segregation and low residue.

Most of Sany's equipment exhibited at Excon 2017 were manufactured by Sany India, showing the perfect integration of Sany's superior production capacity with "India's manufacturing capacity", earning wide recognition from visitors. These products are applicable to fields including mining, road and infrastructure in India.

Since its entry into India in 2002, Sany has operated in India for 16 years. According to data, Sany India achieved sales of nearly 1 billion yuan in 2016 and nearly 400 million yuan in the first quarter of this year, up 90 percent year on year. Sany has exported its products to the Middle East, Africa and other regions.

According to Deepak, in the coming five years, Sany India will not only maintain its lead in the hoisting machinery segment and concrete equipment segment, but also lead the Indian market in excavator and port machinery sales.
