For the equipment operators, the precaution before the malfunction is more important and causes much less cost than the maintenance. This is unexceptional for the 8 ton excavator, for which nipping the danger and problems in the bud is quite critical.

SANY's 8 ton excavator series cover the models of SY75C and SY85C, and the following suggestions are specifically suitable for them.

Above all, we should park the 8 ton excavator on a hard, level ground. Then make sure safety pins, blocks and machine brake are functional. Workers in the same team must use the same signal system. And it's important to keep other personnel a safe distance away from the equipment. If the radiator cap is removed when the engine is hot, hot coolant may squirt out and cause burns, so we need to wait for the engine to cool down before troubleshooting. Take care not to touch any hot parts or be caught by any rotating parts of the 8 ton excavator. Before disconnecting any electrical wiring of the 8 ton excavator, always remember to disconnect the negative post of battery. And before removing the plug or cap from any vessel that contains pressurized oil, water or air, release the internal pressure.

The aim of troubleshooting is to pinpoint the root of the failure, to carry out repairs swiftly for the equipment such as 8 ton excavator, and to prevent reoccurrence of the failure. During the course of troubleshooting, it is important to understand the 8 ton excavator's structure and function. However, a short cut to the effective troubleshooting is to consult the operator to form some idea of possible causes of the failure before ensuring the remedial measures.

Questions such as: Have any other problems occurred apart from the problem that has been reported? Was there anything strange about the machine before the failure occurred? Did the failure occur suddenly, or were there problems with the machine condition before this? Under what conditions did the failure occur?

Otherwise, in order to avoid unnecessary disassembly and a waste of man-hours, it's better to disassemble the 8 ton excavator to check its components.
