SANY successfully delivers 15 eRTGs to India

15 electrified rubber-tyred gantry cranes manufactured by SANY Marine Heavy Industry were successfully shipped from Zhuhai to India on September 20, 2017. The delivery ceremony was held on the SANY terminal in SANY’s Zhuhai industrial park. Mr. Fu Weizhong, president of SANY Marine Heavy Industry attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.  

SANY’s eRTGs adopt a number of innovative and key technologies, including AGSS automatic gantry steering system and RCMS remote crane management system to make the machines more convenient and effective.  Powered by cable drum and diesel engine, these port machines are equipped with energy recycling system in order to reduce energy consumption and protect environment. The application of innovative and key technologies embodies SANY’s promise of serving for clients and creating value for clients. As SANY Marine Heavy Industry’s brand products, the delivery of the 15 RTGs will bring qualitative changes to Mumbai's port container service. 

With the annual container handling capacity of about 4.1 million TEUs, JNPT is the largest state-owned container terminal corporation in India, accounting for 41 percent of India's annual container handling capacity and ranking the 31th among the global ports. To further enhance its container handling efficiency and processing capacity, JNPT offered an international invitation for bid to the global RTG suppliers. Finally, SANY Marine Heavy Industry successfully won the bidding with its outstanding design capacity and quality service for international clients.
